Macro Testing

Vitamin deficiencies and imbalances may produce a range of health issues, including fatigue, mood changes, digestive problems, and others. Our comprehensive urinary metabolic profile measures 36 organic acids to create a unique patient biochemistry profile that reflects how well the body is obtaining and utilizing nutrients. A customized diet and lifestyle plan can then be established to address to specific nutritional needs.

Microbiome & Omega 3

Microbiome

The human gut harbors 100 trillion microorganisms including bacteria, yeast, fungi, and other microbes. This diverse ecosystem influences everything from immune function and digestion to emotional well-being and so much more. The gut microbiome is a community—each microbe completes important tasks that contribute to the welfare of the whole. Some microbes metabolize foods and pass on the metabolites to other species. Other members maintain a healthy gut pH, support the host’s immune system, support food metabolism, or maintain the gut barrier. Even opportunistic species play an important role when present in small amounts!

When biodiversity in the gut is lost or when species are out of balance, the whole microbial community is affected. This creates a cascading effect that can manifest itself in seemingly unrelated areas of the body.

BiomeFx™ offers a clearer picture of the status of the gut microbiome. Using this unique reporting system, we can:

✔️ Understand the functions of the gut microbiome
✔️ Identify dysbiosis ratios
✔️ Pinpoint which metabolites are overproduced or underproduced
✔️ Support specific gut functions using nourishing dietary practices, supplement protocols, and lifestyle recommendations
✔️ Help people lead healthier lives!

Omega 3 Fatty Acid Status

Why Test?

The Omega-3 Index is a measure of omega-3s EPA + DHA in your blood. But how much omega-3 you eat is only part of the puzzle. There are many other factors that affect your Omega-3 Index such as:

  • Genetics
  • Gender
  • Weight
  • Age
  • Lifestyle

Omega-3s and Your Health

The omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) have been shown to benefit a wide variety of health conditions affecting the heart, brain, eyes and joints. They’ve also been associated with healthy aging in general. Thousands of papers have been published on their effects on the body, and the research is not slowing down.

Unfortunately most people don’t get enough of these important nutrients from their diets, which is why testing blood levels is so important.

Optimize Your Omega-3 Level in 3 Easy Steps

Measure-You won’t know if your Omega-3 Index is optimal just because you eat fish or take supplements — it must be measured.

1 ModifyOnce you know your Omega-3 Index, it can be optimized with simple dietary changes.

2 MonitorTesting your Omega-3 Index every 4 months will ensure that your levels stay optimal.

This recommendation is meant to be a guide for how much EPA+DHA you may need in your diet to reach your Omega-3 Index target, based on research by Walker et al. 2019. Up to 5,000 mg per day of EPA and DHA is considered safe, but 3200 mg is set as the upper limit in the calculator due to data limitations. We recommend you retest after 3-4 months to see if your diet changes are working for you. Please consult your healthcare provider before making any major changes to your diet.

Research shows omega-3 levels affect health.

Your results are supported by science.

  • Actionable:

Candida

The Candida panel analyzes Candida antigen antibodies specific to help identify an overgrowth of the fungus, suspected to be the underlying cause of a number of symptoms.

Environmental Toxins

Pollutants and chemicals are common in our air, water, food, and in many products we use. Long-term exposure to these toxins is known to have serious health consequences. This Environmental Pollutants Profile provides quantitative measurement of 14 select metabolites that can help define an individuals toxic burden and provide valuable information for a targeted nutritional and detox intervention.

Vitamin D Testing

Vitamin D is crucial for bone strength and may have implications on other  conditions including osteoporosis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This test measures the levels of vitamin D (total, 25-hydroxy D2 and D3) in the blood,  allowing for easy finger stick collection. With a simple drop of blood, we can see what your current levels are.

Food Allergy

Food sensitivities are recognized to be correlated with many chronic health conditions, IBS, eczema, fatigue, and others - but with proper identification and elimination of offending foods, many experience relief from their symptoms.

AeroAllergy

Pollens and spores from trees, grasses, mold, dust, and others can produce symptoms that range from minor to severe. Our inhalant panels assess  antibody response to 48 common allergens, and  response to 50 allergens, providing helpful information for effective allergy management.

Celiac

With an increased awareness around celiac disease and gluten intolerance, there is growing interest in Celiac testing. This panel measures for serum tissue antibodies specific for deamidated gliadin peptide (DGP), which can help to assess the condition.
